Buzzing like a Buzzy Bee.

...or a busy bee, as it were.

I've been reading, and sewing, and dreaming, and gluing. Really, I am getting ready for a huge push, to stock the shop up completely, before I start a new job.

Of course, there has also been quite a bit of playing with the cat, and catching up on the MASSIVE pile of books I'd accumulated over the last year or so.

I got through the Hunger Games series (eh...it was so-so), Geore RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (EXCELLENT!!), loads of craft and crafty business books, and re-read some other favourites. It's productive in that it feeds my brain, right?

I have also opened up a Goodsmiths shop, and a Lilyshop storefront, to drive visibility. Again, exciting stuff....

Had a load of great ideas in the last couple of days....So, off I go to put them into practise!

What possibilities lie in store? I am excited.

I've only ever been able to take cash at past craft events. This? This makes credit cards work! Huzzah!

Kinda crazy, really....that the tiny guy, ie me, can be able to take CC payments anywhere. I am stoked on the idea, clearly.

So i signed up for Square. My theory? That once I get involved in more craft shows down here, it'll make the buying experience a million times more simple for the customer.

I don't truly know if this is the case, but I am interested in the outcome....

The little thingy ought to be here within a week or so, according to the website. Of course, if I had an Ipad, instead of using my mobile phone, it would be a might cooler...but you know, I'll make do, alas. Heh.

Seriously, though...the advantages that are out there now, for small businesses, seem to be growing by the day. I am excited for the future, both for me, and for other crafters trying to make it happen, business-wise.

It was gorgeous for most of the morning, then a bit of rain in the afternoon.

I found myself staring out of the window, more than staring at the machine. Daydreams aren't entirely terrible, i think.

I am pretty sure that he thinks the sewing machine not only belongs to him, but that I must get his permission to use it.

Of course, he's wrong....Have you ever tried to reason with a cat?

The Bug and I will be going out into the world today. SKYPac is having a free community day, and it is really lovely out. It's going to be a great way to spend the day, I think!

It's been rather busy here....much in the way of cutting, ironing, and sewing. I learn a little bit more each day, which is good.

So much sorting has been done, I feel like we're definitely on the right track.
